Grilling up a storm: Beef Burger Bliss! •
Ingredients:
- 500g 5% Beef Mince
- 1 White Onion
- 2 Cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 tsp English Mustard
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 4 Burger buns
- Your favourite burger toppings
Method:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine and mix all ingredients well!
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about 1/2 inch thick. Make sure the patties are slightly larger than the burger buns as they will shrink when cooked.
- Heat a grill pan or barbecue grill over medium-high heat. Lightly oil the surface to prevent sticking.
- Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side. Avoid pressing down on the patties with a spatula, as this can cause them to lose moisture.
- Once the patties are cooked through, remove them from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes.
- Assemble and enjoy!
Tips for Serving:
• Create an Indentation: Press your thumb into the center of each patty before grilling. This prevents the burgers from puffing up in the middle during cooking.
• Rest Before Serving: Let the burgers rest for a few minutes after grilling to allow the juices to redistribute. This results in juicier burgers.
