Little Burners at The Big Picnic

We had such a lovely time taking Little Burners to The Big Picnic. It was one of those weekends where the weather did almost everything it could to stop the fun, but somehow the rain made it even more memorable.

Our stand was set up with a selection of our handmade stoves, flue parts, rain caps, cowls, wood, and all the little details that make a tiny-living stove setup feel real. Dotty was the stove we lit for the weekend, while the other stoves were displayed unlit so people could have a proper look at the sizes, finishes and details.

We brought a cosy Little Burners setup with us, including Dotty, our stove display, flue parts, accessories, wood, signs and plenty of little stand details. It was lovely to see people stop, come over, ask questions and get a proper look at the stoves in person.

One of our favourite parts was having our little living room-style setup looking out across the festival. It made the stand feel warm and welcoming, even when the rain started coming down.

Dotty, coffee and a lot of rain

Dotty was our live fire for the weekend. We lit her on the stand, kept the kettle and cafetière going, and made what felt like endless coffee. The other stoves stayed unlit on display, but Dotty gave people a chance to see one of our stoves properly in use.

The rain absolutely poured at points, but it did not stop people enjoying themselves. There were umbrellas, bubbles, music, food, people sat outside anyway, and that brilliant festival feeling of everyone just making the most of it.

The atmosphere

The main tent always seemed to have something going on. The smoke, bright lights, music and people moving in and out made such a good atmosphere, especially as the day went on.

And of course, we had to try the food too. The pizza truck was very much appreciated after a wet, busy day on the stand.
